First Pitch is our opening event for the 2022 baseball season. We get to meet the teams and put faces to the players we are supporting with the funds we raise through our auction and merchandise sales. Funds raised will go toward facility improvements, scholarships, season activities and much more! Everyone is invited to attend!
Players do not have to be there early; they can come with their parents. Dress is casual; players typically wear jeans and a jersey or baseball shirt (I think Bonner usually tells them what to wear).
The schedule will be:
6:00-7:15 - Dinner and silent auction
7:15-7:45 - Remarks from Club President and Coach Bonner and Player/Team Introductions
7:45-8:30 - Live Auction
8:30 - Check out and clean up
You can then go to the Membership table to sign up for booster club membership (if you haven't already done so online). You can pick up sports passes*, if ordered, and we will have sample booster spirit wear you can try on for sizing. If you've already placed your membership order, you will be able to change your sizes if needed. *Sports passes are $25 and gets you entry into all district home games (excluding tournaments and playoffs). Normal gate pricing is $4/adult, $2/student.
If you plan on bidding during the live auction, you will want to get a numbered paddle. Then you can head into the cafeteria to get dinner, purchase *new* spirit wear, bid on silent auction items, and visit with families. You will also see a "Grub Grab" station with gift cards you can purchase right away at face value. We have an assortment from Andy's, Rosa's, Chick-Fil-A, and Costa Vida, just to name a few.
An announcement will be made to place your final bids for silent auction, then it will close and all items/bid sheets will be taken to the back of the cafeteria where you will be able to pay and pick up your items. (We'll announce when this is ready for you.)
Player and team introductions are a lot of fun then we get into live auction bidding with auctioneer, Mike Clifton. If you win an item, you'll be able to go to the check out table and pay/pick up the item.
We've had a lot of volunteers already working to make this night a success, and we've had an overwhelming amount of donations thanks to many of you partnering with our community. We're looking forward to a night full of fun and fundraising!
If you have any questions, please reach out to any board member.
